Wow I’m getting my wishes.

October 23rd, 2007

…given I’m purchasing them for myself, I’m still very happy.  So far I got the LowePro 200 AW Slingshot for my camera, and last weekend we signed some lease papers for our new place.  It’s a one bed one bath apartment for only $995/mo.  I’m quickly discovering how expensive it is to move out.  Electricity hookups, phone, cable, renter’s insurance, fridge, microwave, sofas, dining table, chairs … the list goes on.  But for now, I’m super excited and super happy! =)

Luggage?

October 18th, 2007

Julieanne and I never registered for any luggage.  It’s just too expensive and I really don’t think it’s worth buying new luggage.  I have a lot of stuff to carry junk in from my travels and so does she.  I think we’re good to go, especially for Jamaica.  Although, I think it would be fun to have this :

Do you think we’d be stopped in customs?  Probably a bad idea eh?

getting closer

September 23rd, 2007

So, this weekend we picked out Lan’s ring. It was the first one that we wanted to look at and none of the others even compared. I was a little sad that we couldn’t bring it home that day. The more things that we get done, the closer that the wedding seems.

Weekend plans

September 21st, 2007

This weekend Julieanne and I are finally getting some more work done for our wedding.  It’s just under four months away.  I’d like to say "my how time flys" but in reality, it’s going pretty slow.   Work and school aren’t helping the situation much either.  This weekend we’re hoping to put in the order for tuxes, pick out my wedding band, and possibly look into an apartment for me.  If time permits we’ll be printing out invitations too.  Julieanne and I still have to pick out which engagement picture we like most and get those developed too.  Pay attention to your mail boxes, invitations will be out soon!!!

Love for Life

September 17th, 2007

Julieanne and I started our "Love for Life" class yesterday at EV Free Fullerton.  We met in NC200 at 1pm and the meeting went until 3:30pm.  I think that will be the typical time.  The class was okay.  I think we’ll have fun in the class, but I’m not too sure we’ll learn that much.  After the first class it seems like Julie and I will be the trouble makers in the class.  We’re goofing off a lot and playing around tons.  It’s not that we don’t want to learn more about each other and

Honeymoon

July 25th, 2007

We are going to Jamaica!!! I am so excited. I can’t wait to escape from all of the crazy planning and preparing and just get away with my honey, lounging on the white sand beaches in front of crystal blue waters with a nice fruity drink in my hand. :)

Registering…

June 18th, 2007

From my point of view, it was fun to hold a scan gun and shoot at random stuff. It was also fun to add things to the registry behind Julieanne’s back! =) She’ll find it later and remove it from the website. I don’t think that I’m supposed to say where we registered yet, but we have. At one place. Maybe we should register at two?

Indoors or out?

May 11th, 2007

So, we’ve set a date, January 19, 2008. We’ve found a place to have the reception. It’s beautiful. Now we’re still in the process of figuring out where to actually get married. The golf course our reception is at has a very nice area we can use. It’s a little expensive, at about $1500, but I think it’s wonderful. «more»

Our Engagement

May 7th, 2007

It was Sunday, April 15, 2007. We started off early in the morning to go on what I thought would be just a fun day time date. We grabbed bagels on the way (and apparently one of Lan’s friends followed us around all day taking pictures of our adventures…I had no idea) After picking up bagels, we headed to the train station and took the Metro into LA. (We had done this once before and It is one of our favorite things to do) So all day we ate our way through Olvera street (yum taquitos), China town (yum… weird good things that I can’t identify), and little Tokyo (I was daring and tried raw sushi). We had so much fun and there are pictures to document it too! «more»
